Southern Morocco Package:
Southern Morocco is our most popular Sahara Desert surf tour. On this trip you’ll get a taste for the Sahara as we take in at least 500km of coast south of Agadir, scoring waves at secret spots along the way as the landscape changes and Saharan desert dunes appear.
Starting out from Taghazout, we’ll go anywhere the surf is best between Taghazout and Tarfaya, sandwiched between the sand dunes and the sea. Here surrounded by waves on all sides there’s a castle in the ocean – Casa Del Mar – as well as some great waves north and south of Tarfaya.
We will be taking in some places of stunning natural beauty, surf the best waves, stay in selected local accommodations or camp under millions of stars and you’ll taste the best camel meat barbeques and Tajines our Saharan chef makes.

This surf tour will take you along 500km of stunning coast between Safi 320km to the north and Sidi Ifni 150km to the south. On this trip you’ll take in more than the classic point breaks of Taghazout – not only will you stay and surf where the best conditions are for that day but you’ll also get to see and experience more of Morocco. While on tour you will be accommodated in a range of properties along the surfing route including Killer Point, Anker Point and Tamraght Hostel. Depending on your tour choice you will also experience camping under the stars in on the edge of the beautiful Sahara Dessert.
Killer Point – these apartments are modern and comfortable and offer stunning views over Killer Point. With 15 apartments available with private balconies, the rooms are perfect for surfing spots such as Killer Point, Anker Point, La Source and Mystery’s.
Anker Point – located at the bottom of Anker Point, these apartments are clean and simple and have amazing views over the point. With eight apartments available, including American kitchen, lounge, large rooms and bathroom, the apartments are perfect for surfers and couples.
Tamraght Hostel – is located a few metres from Sahara Surf HQ and is an ideal place to relax and unwind before or after a surf safari. There are 12 studios available and plenty of communal space for relaxing and hanging out with surfers. There is Wi-Fi Internet, 24-hour reception and lots of great local charm.
Meals
All meals are included in the surf safari package and include breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and all non-alcoholic beverages.
Couscous, Camel kebabs as well as plenty of fresh fish, BBQs and tagines are typical Saharan foods. Beef is the most commonly eaten red meat which is very popular in tagines along with chicken. The flavours and spices associated with Moroccan cooking are mind blowing. If you get the chance to visit Marrakech markets to check out the spice dens and food stalls you will not be disappointed.

Set up by Abdelilah Yafi who has lived on the coast of Agadir from the age of seven, the surf safari company offers professional surfing guidance by a surf instructor. Abdelilah has a UCPA International Surf Instructor qualification and a life-saving certification as well as being fluent in Arabic, French and English.
Run by locals and supporting local businesses, Sahara Surf Morocco aims to be sustainable and leave as little impact on the community as possible.
How to get there
Surfers should make their way to Morocco and head to Agadir, where all of the surf trips commence. There are flights directly to Agadir airport or surfers can fly into Marrakech and then travel to Agadir.
