Looking for a surf destination with a difference, where if there’s three other surfers in the water, it’s considered a busy day? Look no further. The surf at Kosrae can range from long walls to stand-up barrels. Kosrae’s swell, tide, and winds make local knowledge a necessity. The best time of year to visit Kosrae is October through to March. During these months, consistent medium to large swells arrive from the north, north-east, and north-west, which make the waves appropriate for intermediate and advanced surfers.
Most of this surf happens on the western side of the island, which is only accessed by boat. Surfing on this section of the island also requires a permit, which we can arrange for you, along with a boat and a very experienced guide with lots of local knowledge.
The 18-room complex emphasizes comfort, convenience and consideration. Striking tropical gardens surround the restaurant and bar, with an inviting swimming pool nearby for leisurely dipping. At Kosrae Nautilus Resort you will find friendly comfortable surroundings just a stone’s throw from your own private beach.
Each room is air-conditioned with two double beds, a fridge, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, 26-channel cable TV, direct-dial telephones, wifi, solar electricity and solar water heaters, and daily room service. If you have special interests or needs, we’re here for you. Let us make your stay an exceptional one.
