The Maldives region provides an almost endless menu of surfing options throughout its Atolls and your guides know them intimately.
Huvadhoo (referred often as the Southern Atolls) is located in the most southern section of the Maldives. Fewer surf boats and surf charters operate in this area, resulting in lesser crowded line-ups than the Northern Atolls. Of all the Maldivian surf spots, the waves of the Southern Atolls remain among the most secluded, idyllic and consistent.
Huvadhoo Atoll is best known for Beacons, Castaways, and Tiger Stripes. Beacons and Tiger Stripes are touted as two of the most powerful waves in the Maldives. Or if you’re looking for something a little more slower-paced and with a wall to carve into, Castaways is a perfect canvas. This region is blessed with consistent southerly swells throughout most of the year, and its climate remains tropical with warm water all year around so you can forget about a need for rubber on your trip to paradise.
Horizon II can accommodate up to 12 guests, featuring six fully air-conditioned rooms, two double and four twins, each with their own private bathroom with both hot and cold water. The communal areas of the boat include a spacious sun deck with lounge, chairs and mattresses to kick back and relax on between sessions and also a large saloon style lounge room with access to TV, DVDs and more. The vessel has AC power sockets throughout, all sockets are U.K 220V, 50Hz.
Choose from a wide range of menu items from local cuisine to western and European classics, or chat with your in-house chef to have something prepared specially. Horizon II can cater to most dietary requirements and palettes. Your booking includes all meals and you will also be provided with delicious snacks to keep your energy levels high throughout your stay.
Being the tropical paradise that it is, the Maldives is a beach and ocean orientated playground for surfing, diving and more. Horizon II keeps fishing and snorkelling equipment on board at all times so if you want to explore the vibrant reefs or throw a line in the water in hope of reeling in one of those Skipjack Tuna’s the Maldives is famous for, you can do so as you please.
In addition, Horizon II can also arrange day beach trips and visits to local villages if you feel like stepping back onto dry land for a change of pace.
