The Dreamweaver explores the islands east of Bali from Nusa Lembongan to Lombok and then further east to Sumbawa. The variety of waves on these coastlines can accommodate surfers of all abilities.
Shipwrecks – The standout wave on Nusa Lembongan which is high performance right-hander that has a good wall perfect for quick turns and barrels on the right tide. The ideal conditions are a 4-6 ft swell on a mid tide although in can handle it larger on a good day.
Lacerations – Is a heavy right that serves up hollow barrels. The wave starts with an air drop take off into a sucky barrel section and then into a bowl section further down the line. Ideal condition are 3-8 feet and a medium or high tide.
Playgrounds – Is a left and right setup that is user-friendly with its gentle walls and soft coral bottom. It is perfect for the more inexperienced. Best conditions are 4-6 foot and a medium to high tide.
Desert Point – Is one of the longest, hollowest left-hand breaks in the world. It rattles off for some 300 metres growing in size as you drive down the line getting super shallower until it finally it detonates on dry reef. It is relatively inconsistent and only break in large ground swells.
Air Guling – This is two breaks made up of a hollow shifty left and a right with a fast inside section.
Belongas Bay – There is a left on the east side of the bay that tends to be fickle but is good when it is on. The west side is a powerful peaky right. Both work best in the wet season.
Gerupuk – East of Kuta is a bay where which offers a few options and is protected from the winds due to the surrounding hills. Gerupuk a fun right-hander that is suitable for all levels and breaks over a flat reef. On big days Gerupuk Outside can be ideal to surf. This break is surf-able at any time of year, best on the incoming tide Gerupuk Outside or Gili Golong, a right-hander, good at mid to high tide. A huge wave and big take off at the point, then a long ride when you get to the inside section, which can be fast and hollow.
Ekas Bay – Located on the remote southeast corner of Lombok. Reef break which is two spots. Inside Ekas is right-hander that can reel off perfectly on the right conditions but often lacks power on smaller days. Outside Ekas, a left-hander that is situated close to the entrance of the channel and can have long hollow walls.
Yo Yo’s – Is a swell magnet and consists of two rights. The swell bounces of the cliffs to form a wedgy peak that is a short and punchy. The other break is called the Hook which sits in the middle of the bay and has a long wall and is generally surfed when conditions are small.
Super Sucks – Is a world class left that starts to work on large SW swells. As the name suggests this is a super hollow wave that rattles off for 150 metres with no time for turns. Its all about the barrel and is best from 3-6 feet.
Scar Reef – This is another walled up left-hand peak that has numerous backdoor sections and spitting tubes.
Downtowns – Is a right and left peak opposite Scar Reef that is fun on high tide.
