The surf on the east coast of Australia is home to some of the best waves on the planet with the Gold Coast undoubtedly the jewel in the crown. Australia’s surfing capital is home to world renowned waves like Kirra, Burleigh Heads and Snapper Rocks just to name a few.
Both the Queensland and New South Wales coasts are littered with world class waves with a variety of Point breaks, river mouths, reef breaks, and beach breaks with something to suit all surfing abilities. There are also plenty of lesser known waves to visit to escape the crowds.
The east coast of Australia scores swell all year round with the months of May – August scoring the most consistent swells and the summer months receiving the muchly anticipated cyclone swells.

While on tour you will be accommodated in a range of properties along the surfing route. Each tour will outline the accommodation provided which can range from camping to beachfront luxury beach houses and everything in between.

All meals are included in the surfing adventures of one night or more and include continental breakfast, lunch and dinners, as well as snacks and water. All produce is sourced from local suppliers from the destinations we visit with a focus on healthy fresh produce to keep your energy levels up to surf all day. In any custom tours, you can choose what you want to eat.
Catering for special dietary requirements is also provided, including vegan, vegetarian and food intolerance’s. Please advise at the time of booking.
Australian Surfing Adventure is conscious about sustainability and looks to make the least amount of impact when conducting it’s surfing tours and classes. As Gold Coast locals, the company employs local surfers and instructors for tours and works to give back to the community where possible.
Tour guides are fully accredited with EcoGuide Australia, which provides individuals with credentials to deliver authentic, environmentally responsible and professional tours that make a minimal impact on the environment.
Guides focus on planning and rolling out tours that have the lowest impact on the environment and that also respect and share information on the local Aboriginal culture.
If you’re interested in getting on a tour with Australian Surfing Adventures, you’ll need to make your way to the east coast of Australia to the heart of surfing on the Gold Coast.
Flights to the Gold Coast are via all major capital cities including Sydney and Melbourne, or the Gold Coast is a short one-hour bus ride from Brisbane. The Australian Surfing Adventure HQ is accessible by car, bus and train as well.
Custom trips can also start from Sydney and make there way up the east coast as far as Brisbane. We offer different pick-up locations along the way so inquire about any pick-up location and we will do the rest
